Description
This is a button used by Eugene McCarthy in 1968 as he tried to win the Democratic Party’s presidential nomination. His strong showing in New Hampshire caused President Lyndon Johnson to withdraw from the race (or so many believe). Johnson’s departure led to the entry of Robert Kennedy and, the eventual winner, Vice-President Hubert Humphrey.
