This is a button used by Jack Kemp as he tried to win the Republican Party’s presidential nominatin in 1988. He lost to George Bush. Before, he had been a football star for the Buffalo Bills in the AFL. After the election he would serve as HUD Secretary under Bush. In 1996 he was the party’s vice-presidential nominee, running with Bob Dole.
